Murder Suspect Gives Grinning Mugshot After Arrest In Connection To Woman's Death

A woman was screaming for help from an apartment and when police arrived minutes later, they found her dead. Now, police said they arrested the suspected killer.
This week, the Santa Monica police in California announced the arrest of Lamont E. Horton, 47, in connection to the case.
Around 10:45 a.m. on Aug. 11, officers responded to an apartment complex after several witnesses said they heard a woman screaming for help.
Officers arrived three minutes later, and witnesses said Horton had left the area.
Investigators found Lamont and he was arrested. Other cops went into the unit and found the woman who appeared to be the victim of a homicide, according to police.
The name of the victim was not released, and police said Horton knew the victim. A motive was not released in the case.
When booked in connection to the case, Horton gave a wide grin in his mugshot.
