Altercation Leads To Fatal Stabbing On California Street, Suspect Arrested

An altercation in the street left one man dead and another facing murder charges, police said.
On June 4, the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported homicide around 9 a.m. on Highway 1010.
The victim was identified as Daniel Diaz, 20, according to the sheriff’s office.
Investigators said there was an altercation outside a home in the street and Angel Ramos-Ramirez, 27, stabbed the victim to death. There was no word on what led to the alleged altercation.
Diaz was stabbed several times and Ramos-Ramirez fled the area, according to the sheriff’s office.
Police found Ramos-Ramirez at his home, and he was arrested during a traffic stop.
He was booked in to jail on a murder charge.
