Murder Suspect Tried To Fight, Run From Cops Who Wanted To Arrest Him, Authorities Say

A man was stabbed to death in California, and police said when they went to arrest the suspect, he fought and tried to run away.
Around 3 p.m. on Sept. 9, the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office in California was called to a home for a reported stabbing. When deputies arrived, they found 49-year-old Rafael Guzman with multiple stab wounds.
He was taken to the hospital, where he died, according to the sheriff’s office.
Witnesses identified the suspect as 27-year-old Omar Sepulveda. Though, investigators did not release a motive in the case.
As deputies investigated, they were called to a nearby home for a man loitering in a backyard. When deputies arrived, the suspect tried to fight the person and runaway. But he was taken into custody.
The man was identified as Sepulveda and he was charged with murder, burglary and resisting arrest.
