Teen Charged In Connection To Death Of Man More Than Twice His Age

A teen faces a murder charge in connection to the deadly shooting of a victim more than twice his age, police said.
This week, the Vallejo Police Department in California announced the arrest of Damian Jones Jr., 19. He was detained during a traffic stop.
Jones was wanted in connection to the March 18 killing of 49-year-old LaPrell Briggs, according to police.
Around 7 p.m. in March 18, police responded to Pepper Drive and found Briggs shot, according to KRON. The victim was taken to the hospital, where he died.
Investigators identified Jones as the suspect, though a motive in the case has not been released.
Jones was charged with murder and weapons violations and booked into jail.
