Fight inside California casino leaves one man dead and another facing a murder accusation
A fight at a California casino left one person dead and another in cuffs, police said.
Around 4:30 p.m. on March 28, the Butte County Sheriff’s Office responded after a report of a fight at the Feather Falls Casino.
Witnesses said one of the people in the fight was not breathing, according to the sheriff’s office.
Officers arrived at the casino and found the victim inside. Deputies tried to give aid but determined Dennis Wold was dead, according to the sheriff’s office.
Police identified Michael Livermore as a suspect, though he ran away after the alleged fight, according to the sheriff’s office. He was found in the area around the casino and arrested.
Investigators have not said what led to the fight.
Livermore was arrested and charged with open murder.
