A murder victim was found lying dead in the yard, and police say they have arrested her suspected killer.
Deputies from the Oconee County Sheriff's Office in South Carolina were dispatched to a residence on Singing Pines Road in Walhalla, South Carolina, around 1:00 a.m. on Oct. 26 for the incident.
While heading to the scene, deputies were notified of shots being fired.
When police arrived, they found a person lying in the yard, according to the sheriff's office. Police say they believe a family dispute led to the shooting.
Wayne Austin Raffaldt, 26, was arrested at the scene and booked into the Oconee County Detention Center around 4:30 a.m., according to authorities.
Arrest warrants were obtained that charged Raffaldt with murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime. He is being held without bail as in South Carolina, only a circuit court judge can set bond on a murder charge.
