Woman Tossed Her 3-Year-Old Nephew Into Lake Michigan Near Chicago's Navy Pier, Then Didn't Try To Help The Victim: Cops

A woman is accused of tossing her toddler nephew into a lake and then not trying to help the boy.
On Sept. 21, Chicago police announced officers charged Victoria Moreno, 34, with first-degree attempted murder and aggravated battery on a child.
Around 1 p.m. on Sept. 19, Moreno pushed a 3-year-old boy into Lake Michigan near Navy Pier, according to police. She then did not make an attempt to rescue the child.

The victim was pulled from the water by emergency personnel, according to police. The victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
Moreno was arrested about an hour after the incident.
According to WGN, Moreno was the victim’s aunt, and she took the toddler out of his grandmother’s home.
