A Chicago man was upset that his girlfriend broke up with him, so he allegedly hired a hitman to kill her, according to authorities.
Around 6 a.m. on Sept. 22, police responded to a report of shots fired in Chicago, WGN-TV reported.
Once officers arrived at the scene, they located a woman shot to death inside a vehicle in a driveway.
Police initially said the shooting was targeted and no one was in custody, WGN-TV reported.

According to authorities, Calihua-Rodriguez allegedly hired Misael Chavarin-Plazola, 26, to kill the ex-girlfriend.
