Chicago teen taking out the garbage gets caught in middle of daylight shootout

A 16-year-old Chicago boy was taking out the garbage when gunfire erupted in the middle of the street and the teen was hit by a bullet, police said.
Around 8:30 a.m. Sept. 26, police said the teen was doing his chores when three unknown men were in the gangway shooting at each other in Englewood, Illinois.
Police said one of the bullets grazed the teen’s hand, FOX 32 reported.
The 16-year-old was taken to the hospital and is listed in good condition, officials said. He is expected to survive his injury.
At this time, police said no one is in custody after the shootout. However, detectives are working and continuing to investigate this case, according to authorities.
Police have not said what they believe led the men to start shooting.
