A man in Illinois has been arrested after authorities claim he allegedly distributed child pornography via social media and bragged online about his plans to sexually assault his unborn child.
According to the criminal complaint obtained by the Chicago Sun-Times, Adam King, 39, allegedly used the messaging app Telegram to send illicit videos and pictures to a person in New York.
The New York recipient of the alleged videos and images, however, was under investigation, leading authorities to take over his Telegram account, according to authorities.
Agents scoured the New York suspect’s Telegram and began corresponding with King last spring, officials said, claiming King’s Telegram handle was @pervchidude.
King allegedly wrote about sexually assaulting his nieces and nephews after drugging them with Benadryl and he and his husband were expecting a baby via surrogate the criminal complaint claims. The legal document also alleges King wrote he “plans to sexually assault the child after it is born."
Officials said King sent photos of baby clothing.
King, a veterinarian and dog show judge, allegedly also wrote about liking children in the “single digits” and claimed his husband was a “non perv,” according to authorities.
The suspect also claimed, according to the complaint, that he had a “large digital cache” of child pornography on his Telegram account.
On March 5, FBI agents executed a search warrant at King’s home in Chicago. During the search, agents allegedly discovered images in King’s phone that matched the ones posted in the Telegram chat, according to officials.
On March 22, King was arrested and is facing a single charge of distributing child pornography, authorities said.
He was booked into jail and was being held without bond.
