Years after a teen was sexually assaulted and beaten to death in Texas, police said they arrested a suspect in the case.
In November 2007, police in Wood County, Texas, found Brittany McGlone, 19, dead in her boyfriend’s bed, according to KETK. She was beaten, raped and murdered. The boyfriend was not home for the incident and returned to find his girlfriend dead.
Now, about 15 years later, the Wood County Sheriff’s Office announced it arrested a suspect in the case.
Chad Carr was arrested in the Dallas area in connection to McGlone’s murder, according to. The sheriff’s office.
Police did not detail how they tied him to the case or why the arrest happened 15 years later.
Carr was charged with capital murder and booked into jail. Bond was set at $1 million.
“Sheriff Kelly Cole and the Wood County Sheriff’s Office have worked diligently over the last year and a half to help bring closure to the family of Brittany McGlone,” the agency said in announcing the arrest.
