A Connecticut man was charged with spitting, yelling racial slurs after being told he needed a mask at a liquor store, according to a report.
Daniel Henderson, 57, was arrested on Oct. 27 for the incident on April 9, when authorities said Henderson became irate when asked to wear a face mask at Lefty's Package Store in Southington, Connecticut. Henderson then spit towards the victim, and used a racial slur and threatened to damage the store.
Henderson was arrested this week after being located by Meriden police and charged with second-degree intimidation based on bigotry or bias and second-degree breach of peace, according to WFSB News.
Henderson is no stranger to authorities.
In 2014, he was accused of stealing a landscaping trailer in Southington after the owner spotted it three years later listed for sale online, according to MyRecordJournal.com.
Henderson had an active arrest warrant for fourth-degree larceny and was arrested during a 2019 traffic stop, according to the Durham-Middleton Patch.
In their 2012 lawsuit, brothers Daniel and David Henderson sued the state for more than $12 million on accusations the department violated their civil rights in the 2009 raid that shut down their strip club, and netted David Henderson on “numerous charges, including promoting prostitution, without probable cause,” according to the Meriden Patch.
