A reverend was arrested during a traffic stop in Connecticut after he allegedly was caught with crystal meth, according to authorities.
On Feb. 9, officers pulled over 63-year-old Herbert Irving Miller while he drove with a suspended registration and without the minimum state-required vehicle insurance in Woodbury, according to the Connecticut State Police.
During the traffic stop, police allegedly discovered that Miller had in his possession “crystal methamphetamine in both rock and liquefied into a hypodermic needle prepared for injection," authorities said.
According to WPDE, Miller was appointed reverend at Woodbury United Methodist Church in July 2023. However, those details have since been removed from the church’s website.

Miller was arrested and charged with possession with intent to sell, possession of a controlled substance, illegal operations of a motor vehicle without minimum insurance, use of drug paraphernalia, and operating an unregistered motor vehicle, police said.
He was taken to the Troop L barracks in Litchfield and posted a $10,000 surety bond. His next scheduled court appearance is on Feb. 23.
