Corrections deputy booked into jail where he worked after allegedly killed his wife and infant daughter: Cops
A Louisiana corrections deputy is accused of murdering his wife and infant daughter on Halloween, authorities said.
On Oct. 31, the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s investigators took 26-year-old Blake Bardwell into custody after the two victims were found dead in a residence.
Police have not released the victims' names or a possible motive in the killing.
Bardwell was booked into the Ouachita Correctional Center on two counts of second-degree murder. He was later moved to a different facility because of his work history with the prison, radio station KEEL reported.
Bardwell worked at the jail since December 2019, according to KEDM.
