A Dallas woman stabbed and killed her boyfriend in their home and then turned herself in to police hours later to face the murder charge, police announced.
Around 11 p.m. June 6, Dallas police responded to Charlton Methodist Hospital for a report of a man with a stab wound to the chest area.
The victim was identified as Keith Slade, 24, and officials said he was brought to the hospital by a personal vehicle. He was later pronounced dead at the hospital, according to police.
Authorities say they determined where the stabbing took place, the victim's home that he shared with a woman, and the assault took place around 10:15 p.m.
Detectives made their way to the home and processed the scene, authorities said.
Officials determined the victim’s girlfriend, 24-year-old Tamara Lilly, was the suspect in Slade's death.
Around 2 a.m. the next day, Lilli turned herself into officers, police said. She was taken to police headquarters and booked into the Dallas County Jail, police said.
She was charged with murder and is being held in jail on $200,000 bond.
