A 3-month-old boy was found dead inside a Tennessee apartment where his babysitter lived, according to authorities.
On April 10, detectives said the deceased infant and six other children ranging in age up to 16 months old were found by the deceased child’s mother and another parent, WSMV reported.
The six children were taken to a local hospital and were determined to be in good health, officials said.
Medical staff reported that the dead baby boy did not have any obvious signs of traumatic injury or medical issues, according to WSMV.
The caregiver, 51-year-old Anne C. Jordan, was not at the apartment when the children were found, officials said.
Jordan was located later in the evening by hikers in Harpeth River State Park, police said. She was suffering from significant cuts to her arms, which police said appeared to be self-inflicted.
