Man Gunned Down Inside A Barbershop, Police Arrest Suspect Nearly A Year Later
A 23-year-old man was gunned down inside a Delaware barbershop, and nearly a year later, police say they have arrested the suspected killer.
On May 15, 2021, Delaware State Police responded to a barbershop in Rodney Village, Delaware, for a reported shooting. Investigators determined Javon Jones was a patron in the barbershop when a person entered.
The suspect fired multiple shots at Jones, striking him in the torso before running away, according to Delaware State Police.
Jones was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to the sheriff’s office.
Investigators spent a year looking into the case and on April 21 arrested Kyree Robinson in connection to the shooting.
Police have not released a possible motive for the shooting.
Robinson was charged with first-degree murder, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and possession of a firearm by a person prohibited. Robinson was in prison when charged and bond was set at slightly more than $1 million.
