Man shot dead while trying to help woman who was in a fight, cops say. Duo arrest in connection to murder case.

A man, who tried to help a woman who was in a fight, was shot dead. Now, police say two people have been arrested in connection to the case.

Shortly after midnight on March 3, Delaware State Police responded to a home for a man with a gunshot wound.

Investigators say Christopher Evans, 19, was inside a vehicle and arguing through a car window with a woman, according to Delaware State Police. The argument turned into a fight.

Michael Kressman, 30, tried to come up and help the woman but was shot.

Delaware State Police said Keyonte Brown, 21, fired the fatal shot and was in the vehicle along with Evans.

Kressman was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police arrested Brown and he was charged with first-degree murder, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and carrying a concealed deadly weapon. He is being held in jail on more than $1 million bond.

Evans was charged with aggravated menacing, possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony and carrying a concealed deadly weapon. He was booked into jail on $24,000 bond.
