Man Tried To Burn His Girlfriend's Arms And Legs After Raping Her, Cops Say

A sexual assault victim who was nearly burned by her attacker ran to a neighbor’s house for help, and now police say they arrested a man in connection to the case.

On June 2, the victim was assaulted at a home on Kilbourne Avenue in Detroit, police said.

The suspect tried to burn her arms and legs. But the victim ran to a neighbor’s house where she sought shelter, police said.

Police say he was charged with torture, first-degree home invasions, third-degree criminal sexual conduct and a host of other counts.

There was no word on the victim’s current condition.
