Man Stabbed His Brother In Argument And Then Ran Away As His Sibling Died: Prosecutors
A man in Detroit is accused of stabbing his brother to death and then fleeing the area.
This week, the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office announced that Bruce Jenkins, 58, was charged with first-degree murder in connection to the case.
Around 5 a.m. on April 25, Detroit police responded to a home on Mansfield Street for a reported stabbing. When police arrived, they found the victim in the entrance with multiple stab wounds.
The victim was identified as Imari Jenkins, 52, according to prosecutors.
Medics were called to the scene and took the victim to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Investigators said an argument between the Jenkins brother escalated and then Bruce Jenkins fatally stabbed his brother. There was no word on what the argument was about.
Bruce Jenkins fled the scene and was arrested by Detroit police later the same day.
The suspect is now being held in jail without bond.
