A Man Kept His Dismembered Girlfriend In Coolers. After His Arrest, He Sexually Assaulted An Inmate Who Snitched.
A Michigan man has been sentenced after he pleaded no contest to charges he murdered and mutilated his girlfriend and then sexually assaulted an inmate for talking to authorities about the case after his arrest.
Wade Allen, 39, was taken into custody on May 22, 2019, in connection with the death and dismemberment of his girlfriend, whose mutlilated remains were located in two coolers in his Sturgis apartment, according to Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel.
“While in jail, Allen spoke to his cellmates about having strangled his girlfriend to the point of death,” the attorney general said in a statement. “After finding out that the cellmates had passed this information onto the authorities, Allen sexually assaulted one of the inmates when they were re-housed together.”
Allen pleaded on Jan. 30 to one count each of second-degree homicide; attempted dismemberment and mutilation; and attempted criminal sexual conduct, third degree by force, according to officials.

The convicted killer was sentenced on June 1.
At the hearing, the inmate, the Sturgis Journal reported, the sexually assaulted inmate told the judge the conduct “was not consensual" and called Allen “a monster.”
Allen received a setentence of 39 to 60 years imprisonment for second-degree homicide, two to five years for attempted dismemberment and mutilation, and 38 months to five years for attempted third-degree criminal sexual conduct. He is to serve the assault sentence consecutive to the murder sentence.
