“It appeared that Brown and the victim were involved in an argument that turned physical,” a Facebook post by Sheriff Eddie Hawkins said. The incident between the couple was reportedly caught on Facebook Live.

Hawkins did not name the victim, but WCBI-TV reports it was Jeremy Brown, 28. Hawkins told the TV station that Brown was trying to leave the apartment to calm things down when he was shot.

Authorities found a nine-millimeter handgun inside the apartment.
