Woman Taken To Hospital After Alleged Domestic Assault And Released. When She Died A Month Later, It Was Labeled A Homicide.

A woman was taken to the hospital after an alleged domestic assault. She was released and returned a few days later. This time she died.
Now, her alleged attacker has been charged with murder.
On June 3, 56-year-old Jackie Littrell was taken to the hospital with abdominal pain, according to police. She said her boyfriend, Blanco, assaulted her during a domestic incident.
She was released three days later.
On June 6, Littrell was again taken to the hospital with complications from the assault, police said. She died at a hospital on July 11.
An autopsy determined the victim died from injuries sustained in the alleged assault by Blanco, police said.
Blanco was charged with second-degree felony murder and booked into jail.
