Maryland Man Allegedly Murdered His Girlfriend, Used Shopping Cart To Dump Her Body: Police

A Maryland man allegedly fatally stabbed his girlfriend during an argument and then dumped her body under railroad tracks, authorities said.

The Baltimore Police Department announced they arrested Bruce Poole, 63, on Sept. 22 in connection with the death of 53-year-old Kelly Logan.

Investigators believe Poole killed Logan during a domestic dispute, officials said.

According to charging documents obtained by WMAR, the suspect’s family turned him in to authorities, and after his arrest, Poole allegedly told detectives he killed Logan on Sept. 17.

The documents state surveillance video obtained by detectives allegedly shows Poole used a shopping cart at the Baltimore apartment complex where he lived with Logan to remove a plastic bag, which detectives believe contained the victim’s body.

Pool claimed two family members aided him in disposing of his girlfriend’s body, which was found the day before the suspect’s arrest and exhibited “obvious signs of trauma,” according to police.

Pool was charged with first-degree murder.

Autopsy results are pending.
