A jury has found Doomsday Mom Lori Vallow guilty of the double homicide of her two children and conspiring to commit murder in the death of her husband’s first wife.
On May 11, the jury in the trial of Lori Vallow began deliberations as her weeks-long trial in Boise drew to a close, officials said.
Vallow, who did not take the stand in her own defense, was accused of killing two of her children, 16-year-old Tylee Ryan and 7-year-old Joshua “JJ” Vallow, who were last seen in September 2019, as Front Page Detectives previously reported.
Lori married her current husband, Chad Daybell, in November, just two weeks after the death of Daybell’s first wife, Tammy.
During the trial, prosecutors argued the couple used “doomsday” believed involving zombies to justify murdering the children and Tammy, officials said.
Lori and Chad were each arrested in 2020 and ultimately charged in 2021, authorities said.

Prosecutors called nearly 60 witnesses during the trial and framed their case around Lori’s drive for money, power and sex. In closing arguments, prosecutors told jurors Lori and Chad were driven to remove the obstacles that prevented them from being together, CBS News reported.
The defense did not call any witnesses during the trial and argued that Vallow has the freedom to choose and practice her religion and that there wasn’t enough evidence to connect Vallow to the alleged crimes, according to CBS News.
