Chicago Boys, Ages 14 and 15, Charged With Shooting Talented Drummer Walking Home — 'This Was a Senseless Murder'
A 15-year-old boy is now the second teenager in custody accused of murdering a beloved drummer in Chicago, authorities said.
The suspect, who was not named because of his age, was arrested on May 31. He and a 14-year-old boy taken into custody in March are accused of fatally shooting Ryan Arliskas, 27, on a sidewalk as he was walking home in the McKinley Park neighborhood in April 2022, WBBM-TV reported.
“You know, they didn't steal a candy bar. They didn't throw a bottle at his head. They walked up behind him, pushed him in an alley and put a gun right up to his neck, and killed him and ran off,” the victim’s mother, Molly Arliskas, recently told the station.
The teenagers each face a felony count of first-degree murder.

Arliskas went by the nickname Tygercat and was known as a talented drummer.
"This was a senseless murder in Chicago, and it's one of many that happen every day, and we're not asking for special treatment," said the victim's father, Adam Arliskas, WBBM-TV reported shortly after the killing. "We just we just want some kind of justice."
