Drunk driver arrested for running red light, killing 62-year-old man, cops say

A Texas man has been arrested after he allegedly got behind the wheel drunk and killed a person in a crash.
The Arlington Police Department responded to a crash around 1:30 a.m. Sept. 7, involving two cars, according to police.
A driver was traveling westbound and went through an intersection when another driving traveling northbound ran a red light and struck the first vehicle, according to Arlington police.
The driver of the vehicle that was hit, a 62-year-old man who has not yet been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.
There were three occupants inside the second vehicle that investigators believe ran the red light.
The driver of the vehicle, Dangelo Ortega, was arrested for intoxication manslaughter, police say. Ortego will be officially arraigned upon release from a local hospital.
A passenger in the vehicle, Latarik Jackson, was arrested for felony warrants of murder and aggravated assault out of Harrison County, Texas, according to Arlington police.
The third passenger was treated by medical staff at the scene.
