Elder Abuse Horror: Cops Say Man Arrested After Elderly Alabama Woman Found Crawling, 'Wearing Nothing But An Adult Diaper’

An Alabama man was arrested after his adult relative was found wearing nothing but a diaper and saying she needed help, police said.

Jason Allan Proctor, 37, was being held in the Houston County jail without bond on a charge of elder abuse and neglect in the first degree, according to officials.

On March 24, the Houston County Department of Human Resources notified the Dothan Police Department in connection with an elderly woman found inside a home. The woman, police said, was crawling around “wearing nothing but an adult diaper asking for help."

Investigators discovered the woman was suffering open wounds and other medical conditions that had gone “untreated and neglected”, according to police.

The victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment and may have to undergo surgery for her wounds.

According to police, Proctor was living with the woman in the home and was her primary caregiver.
