Elderly Delaware Couple Found Dead in Bed After Suspected Murder-Suicide

Two people were found shot and killed in their Delaware home and police announced it was a murder-suicide, according to authorities.
Around 7:30 a.m. on April 29, officials said they received a 911 call from a home in Wilmington, according to the Delaware State Police.
Troopers were sent to the home to perform a welfare check and responding officers entered the residence through an unsecured side door, officials said.
Once inside the residence, officers found two elderly people, an 87-year-old man and an 86-year-old woman, shot to death in their beds, authorities said.

Both of the residents were pronounced dead at the scene.
Police were able to recover a handgun at the house, which was in the possession of the man, officials said.
