The grandparents of a Louisiana woman allegedly asked her to take a shower, so the woman threw a fit and stabbed her grandfather in the face, according to authorities.

On Aug. 28, deputies arrived at a home in Keithville after receiving a phone call about a domestic disturbance, the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office said.

The elderly couple at the residence told police they got into an argument with their granddaughter “after they asked her to shower,” authorities said.

Carrington Elise Harris, 22, allegedly got upset and started to damage property inside the residence. Harris then allegedly went outside and cut the power to the home, police said.

The grandparents tried to restrain Harris, but she was able to escape and allegedly went into the kitchen, grabbed a knife and then “stabbed her grandfather in the face,” officials said.

Harris then ran into nearby woods and hid from responding officers, according to officials.

Several hours passed, but authorities were able to locate the suspect still hiding in the woods and they took her into custody.

Harris was booked into the Caddo County Correctional Center and was being held without bond.

The grandfather was taken to a local hospital for medical treatment, but police did not provide any further details about his condition.
