85-Year-Old Shot And Killed In Alabama Home, Another Elderly Man Accused Of Pulling Trigger
A 74-year-old man is accused of shooting and killing a fellow elderly person, police in Alabama said.
On April 26, police in Hartselle, Alabama, responded to a home for a harassment complaint.
When officers arrived, they found Frank Jones, 85, inside the home. He was dead from gunshot wounds, according to Hartselle police.
Investigators identified Herbert Whitney Thompson Jr., 74, as the suspect and he was arrested this week on the murder charge.
Police have not said how the two men knew each other. They also have not released a possible motive in the shooting.
Thompson is being held in jail, where his bond was set at $100,000.
