Murder suspect, 71, accused of fatally shooting woman in Virginia
An elderly Virginia man was charged with murder after he allegedly gunned down a woman, police said.
On Feb. 27 around 10 p.m., officers in Portsmouth responded to a report of a shooting discovered the body of 37-year-old Crystal Jacobs, The Virginian-Pilot reported.
Investigators identified Irving B. Wolff, 71, as a suspect in the case and took him into custody.
Wolff faces multiple charges, including second-degree murder, use of a firearm, shooting in commission of a felony, and reckless handling of a firearm.
Law enforcement officials have not released a possible motive or other details about the killing.
