On Aug. 16, the Lewiston Police Department executed a search warrant on the home of Kay Morrison, 81, and her daughter, Kimberly Morrison, 54.

According to law enforcement officials, detectives began investigating the pair after 87-year-old Kenneth Morrison — Kay Morrison’s husband and Kimberly Morrison’s father — was reported missing in March.

“The investigation uncovered that Kenneth had not been seen since January 2022,” police said.

After interviewing the mother and daughter, detectives took them into custody for Kenneth Morrison’s murder, which they determined occurred on Jan. 6, police said.

“An FBI Evidence Recovery Team, Idaho State Police Detectives and the Quad Cities Drug Task Force assisted with tremendous resources during this on-going investigation,” officials noted of the case.

Anyone with further information about the murder is asked to contact Lewiston Police Department Detective Joe Stormes at (208)746-0171.
