Police say an elderly woman in Florida has been arrested after she allegedly killed her roommate because he was too messy.
Around 9:30 a.m. on June 13, officers arrived at a home in Tampa and found a severely injured Black male outside the residence, according to the Tampa Police Department.
Officials said the victim, whose identity was not released, was pronounced deceased after being transferred to a local hospital.
The victim was leaving the residence when 71-year-old Patricia Whitehead heard the man slam the door, police said.
According to authorities, Whitehead then retrieved her gun from her bedroom, exited the residence and allegedly shot the victim multiple times.
Investigators determined Whitehead and the victim lived together and at some point on the day of the fatal shooting, Whitehead allegedly “had become angry with the victim, claiming he did not clean up after himself.”
