A 52-year-old equestrian coach for youth and adults has been arrested on two counts of child molestation in connection to a May 2019 incident.
An investigation started in October and deputies learned that Michael Traurig allegedly molested a 13-year-old girl in San Mateo County in 2019, The Daily Journal reported.
Traurig was also accused of the sexual assault of an adult in Los Angeles County, according to The Daily Journal.
He was also mentioned in other sexual assault allegations, but those cases were older than the statute of limitations allows for prosecution, The Daily Journal reported.
The arrest warrant was issued on Jan. 26 and Traurig was booked into jail, police said. His bond was set at $1 million.
His bail was set at $1 million, The Daily Journal reported.
Anyone with information, or who believes they may be a victim, is asked to contact police at (650) 474-1243 or email cbarker@smcgov.org.
