Jealous Man Breaks Into Ex-Girlfriend’s Georgia Home, Shoots Her New Boyfriend in Her Bed: Cops

A Georgia man has been arrested after he allegedly drove over to his ex-girlfriend’s house, found her in bed with her new boyfriend and then shot him in the head, according to authorities.
Officials said the incident occurred around 11 a.m. on June 11 in Jackson, WXIA-TV reported.
According to police, the victim was responsive and responded to questions from deputies but was taken to the hospital for treatment. Officials did not give details on which part of his head the victim was shot.
The suspect fled from the scene, but police were able to review neighborhood security cameras to help capture him.
WXIA-TV reported Butts County Sheriff Gary Long said, "We got cameras all over the county now — Flock cameras — and then we got this neighborhood, people all throughout this neighborhood with cameras."
Long said there were children inside the home at the time of the shooting, but none were injured.

Officials said the original call to police was for a possible home invasion but later was classified as a shooting.
The identities of the shooter and victim have not been released.
