Father in Oregon accused of kidnapping, murdering his 2-year-old daughter
An Oregon man allegeldy took his daughter and then called her mother with threats before killing the child, police said.
On Nov. 1 just before 1 a.m., the mother of Brianna Rodriguez, 2, contacted police and said 31-year-old Gustavo Enrique Villalobos Carranza picked up their little girl earlier that evening and later called and was threatening to hurt her, The Oregonian reported.
Vancouver police issued an Amber alert for the child and were looking for Villalobos Carranza’s silver 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander.
Around 4:15 a.m., the Portland Police Bureau said, “The man agreed to turn himself in to Vancouver Police, and the child was found deceased.”
According to officials, the child died in Portland. An autopsy to determine her cause and manner of death is pending.
Villalobos Carranza faces charges of first-degree murder, first-degree kidnapping and unlawful use of a weapon.
He was being held without bail in Clark County Jail pending extradition to Multnomah County.
