Father and son apprehended in connection to fatal shooting in Tennessee, authorities say
A father and son were arrested hours within each other in connection to a deadly shooting in Tennessee.
On Oct. 16, one man died and another was wounded when they were shot multiple times at a Hardeman County home.
Authorities issued an arrest warrant for Thomas Bishop, 48, and his son Thomas Bishop Jr., 27, the U.S. Marshals Service said.
Ten days after the deadly shooting, on Oct. 26, US Marshalls announced they had apprehended the father in Chicago and took the son into custody in Jackson, Tennessee.
According to the agency, the father and son were both safely apprehended and the pair were booked on first-degree murder charges.
“The U.S. Marshals Services prides itself on finding fugitives on the run,” U.S. Marshal Tyreece Miller said. “The coordination of both arrests is another great example.”
