Cops Accuse Texas Father Of Shooting His 4-Year-Old Son, Falsely Claiming Boy Victim Of ‘Road Rage Incident'

A Texas father who brought his 4-year-old son to the emergency room claiming the boy was shot in the arm during a "road rage incident" was later arrested in connection with the case, police say.
On Feb. 9, deputies responded to Texas Children’s Hospital for a report of a child suffering a gunshot wound, according to the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office.
Once at the hospital, deputies coordinated with Houston police, who said they began investigating the report because they believed the incident happened in their jurisdiction, officials said.
After further investigation, deputies determined the purported road rage shooting may have actually occurred at a residence in Katy.
At the hospital, authorities said, the child’s dad, identified as 25-year-old Gendri Aguillon, allegedly claimed an unknown assailant shot at his vehicle and hit his son while the two were in a vehicle on I-10.
Police said Aguillon was overly vague and couldn’t answer simple questions about what he alleged happened.
At the family’s home, deputies said they found signs of blood and spoke with the child’s grandmother, who allegedly indicated the boy might have been shot at the residence.
Officials said the incident could be the result of a mishandled firearm but did not provide further details.

Aguillon was arrested and booked into the Fort Bend County jail. He was charged with injury to a child and making a false report.
"No child should ever be harmed in any way," Sheriff Eric Fagan said. "Our detectives are thoroughly investigating the incident and we remind everyone that making a false police report is illegal. Those responsible will be held accountable."
The child was listed in stable condition, officials said.
