Father Accused of Fatally Stabbing His 21-Year-Old Son Dies While in Custody, Alabama Authorities Say
An Alabama man accused of murdering his son died while in custody, court records revealed.
In August 2022, Steven Wade allegedly fatally stabbed his 21-year-old son, Damian Wade, in Jackson County, and he was arrested, WAFF reported.
According to the accused killer’s death certificate obtained by the station, Steven Wade was in the Highlands Medical Center in Scottsboro when he died last November.
The cause of death was natural causes and listed on the document as the result of a cardiopulmonary respiratory arrest for 30 minutes.
Five days earlier, WAFF reported, medical experts diagnosed Steven Wade with pneumonia. Two days prior to the man’s death, he was also diagnosed with suffering sepsis.
The criminal charges filed against him have now all been dropped.
