Florida Man Claimed He Tied Up, Interrogated, Murdered Man Who ‘Tried To Light Me On Fire:’ Authorities
A Florida man is accused of killing a man he had issues with who was “increasingly in fear for his life,” court documents show.
Dusty McDonald was taken into custody on Dec. 3 after the body of a man was discovered wrapped in a tarp and dumped behind a Tallahassee shopping plaza, WCTV reported.
According to arrest papers obtained by the outlet, witness claimed the victim was scared of McDonald and was planning to defend himself against him if there was a confrontation by using a cup of gasoline.
According to the documents, McDonald allegedly claimed to arresting deputies, “Ya’ll know what happened down there. He tried to light me on fire.”
McDonald allegedly told investigators the victim was “conspiring against him,” court records state, and the suspect allegedly described how he tied up the victim, interrogated him, and then fatally attacked him because the man would not “give him the information he was looking for.”
The name of the victim has not been released.
