Rapper Flavor Flav arrested on suspicion of domestic battery in Nevada
Rapper and media personality Flavor Flav was charged earlier this month in connection to a domestic battery case, according to court records.
Flavor Flav — whose real name is Jonathan Drayton Jr. — was arrested on Oct. 5 by police in Henderson, Nevada. He was charged with first-degree domestic battery, a misdemeanor.
He has since been released on $50 bond and has a court date set for later this month.
According to TMZ, cops were called to a home for a domestic disturbance and arrested Drayton. He is accused of poking his finger on the victim’s nose, grabbing the woman and throwing her down. He then took the phone from her hand.
Drayton was part of the rap group Public Enemy, but in recent years has become known for appearing on several reality TV shows.
Drayton also has a pending charge of driving on a suspended license in Henderson from April, according to court records.
