On Nov. 23, 2020, an 87-year-old reported the theft of checks from their home, according to police in Naples, Florida.

The victim estimated the stolen checks were used to take $34,000, according to Naples police.

Police say they conducted an extensive investigation and determined the victim’s contracted health aid deposited the stolen checks in her personal account. The suspect, Victoria Siah Fayiah, took the money without authorization.
