A man in prison for attempted murder is now being accused as a killer in a Florida cold case, authorities said.

Story was already behind bars for an attempted murder case in the Tampa area the same year, according to the sheriff’s office.
Around noon on Aug. 24, 2018, Hayes’ grandchildren were found wandering near Pine Hills, Florida, according to WESH.
One of the children, a 3-year-old, said that a man had killed his grandmother, the TV station. Police went to the family’s Orlando home and found the victim dead from a gunshot wound.
Investigators said there was a history of threats and one time when Story attempted to stab the victim.
