Domestic disturbance leads to homicide, suspect arrested, Florida police said
A domestic dispute in Florida turned to murder, police said.
Around 1 p.m. on Aug. 14, Leon County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a home for a reported domestic disturbance. Officers found the victim suffering from life-threatening injuries.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Leon County Sheriff’s Office. The victim’s name has not been released.
Members of the sheriff’s office’s violent crime and crime scene units responded to the scene and took over the investigation.
Investigators say a 36-year-old suspect Christopher Harvey lived with the victim. The two argued earlier in the day before police were called the scene, according to the sheriff’s office.
Deputies say Harvey caused the victim’s injuries but have not said how he allegedly killed the victim.
Police charged Harvey with homicide, possession of a weapon or ammunition by a convicted felon ad two counts of violation of probation. The incident remains under investigation.
