A “delusional conspiracy theorist” in Florida has been arrested after he allegedly beat his father to death because he “received the vaccine,” according to authorities.
According to court records obtained by the New York Post, Brian McGann Jr., 44, allegedly killed his father, Brian McGann Sr., while he was on a 20-minute phone call with a female family friend on the evening of Feb. 4.
During the call, the family friend allegedly heard McGann Sr. crying out, “Stop, you’re killing me,” during an argument he was having with his son in his Lake Worth Beach home, court records show.
The friend also told detectives she heard McGann Jr. screaming and allegedly attacking his father before he said, “He is under my foot.”
Court records state the friend then called 911 and told police that the younger McGann was a “delusional conspiracy theorist” who got upset “because he recently learned his father received the vaccine.”
She also told police that McGann Jr. had recently started using cocaine.
Resonding officers said they found McGann Sr. with his “clothing completely covered in blood” and suffering serious injuries to his face.
Paramedics pronounced the victim dead at the scene around 12:15 a.m.
According to police, McGann Jr. jumped over the back gate into a neighbor’s backyard, and officers found him “completely covered in blood" after they tracked him down.
The suspects hands were swollen, and he had a cut on his left hand and lacerations on his fingers, according to investigators.
