A Florida man has been arrested after he allegedly used a dating app to offer a child up for sexual acts, according to police.
On May 5, officers arrested Jeremy Kenneth Mannerberg, 27, in connection with the alleged incident involving the app MeetMe, according to the Collier County Sheriff’s Office.
Mannerberg is accused of using the MeetMe app to offer the prepubescent victim for sexual acts to another user of the app as well as to send nude images of the victim to the same user, police said.
Officials didn’t disclose whether or not the victim was physically harmed, but an investigation into the crime is still ongoing.
Deputies said a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children helped lead them to Mannerberg’s residence.
Detectives obtained a search warrant for Mannerberg’s home and found that the interior of the residence matched the interior of the house in the images showing the victim that were sent to the MeetMe user, according to officials.
