Florida man charged with manslaughter after allegedly shooting and killing teen at house party

A man has been arrested after one man was killed and another was shot at a house party in Deltona, Florida.
Markland Roberts, 43, was arrested in the Oct. 30 shooting that killed Xyrus Zelaya, 16, and injured another 17-year-old victim, who has yet to be identified, according to the Volusia County Sheriff's Office.
Cops believe the shooting occurred at a house party in the area of 1400 Waterview Drive in Deltona, as there was a disturbance in the area.
Roberts is charged with manslaughter and attempted manslaughter with a firearm, according to the Volusia County Sheriff's Office.
Roberts had claimed a Stand Your Ground defense, WESH reported. Roberts posted a $35,000 bond and was released shortly after being booked in the Volusia County Jail, according to WESH.
