Woman Found Dead And Wrapped In Sheet At Florida Motel, Suspect Admitted To Killing, Cops Say

A Florida man faces charges after police say he admitted to killing a woman and leaving her remains in a motel, according to a report.
Last week, the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office in Florida arrested Steven Cozens on a charge of second-degree murder.
Around 1 p.m. on Aug. 28, deputies responded to the America Best Value Inn in Bradenton, Florida, according to WTSP. There, they found a 26-year-old woman dead and wrapped in a bed sheet.

The victim had trauma to various parts of her body, according to the sheriff’s office.
Cozens was identified as a person of interest and arrested, according to WTSP. He admitted to police that he killed the woman.
Deputies did not detail the relationship between the suspect and the victim. They also didn’t release a possible motive in the case.
