A Florida man reportedly known as “Loco” was charged with murder after a body was found buried in a shallow grave on his property, police said.
Michael Allen Pritchard told deputies from the Collier County Sheriff's Office that he shot and killed the victim "because he caught him masturbating into Pritchard's girlfriend's underwear," according to the arrest report obtained by The Naples Daily News.
Pritchard reportedly earned the nickname "Loco" because he “has a history of unstable and violent behavior,” according to The Florida News Times.
Pritchard, 35, was charged with second-degree murder on Dec. 2, after a witness told detectives that Pritchard killed the victim and buried the body next to his house.
Detectives searched Pritchard’s home and surrounding property on 10th Avenue Northeast, where they reportedly found the missing man buried in a shallow grave near the home, according to the sheriff's office.
Deputies found Pritchard on the property and placed him under arrest. He was transported to the Collier County jail, where he was booked on the felony murder charge, according to the sheriff's office. The victim's name has not been released.
“I hope he stays there. I hope he goes to prison for life because he took a life,” neighbor Linda Craft told WINK News.
He is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 7.
